Depending on your background and the teaching schedule, you will teach introductory and more advanced statistics courses, possibly other mathematics courses, supervise Bachelor's and Master's students, and contribute to the development and coordination of education. - You are an engaged and reliable teacher who can explain statistical concepts clearly to students with different mathematical backgrounds, including students outside mathematics.
- You can teach statistics both as mathematical methodology and as a tool for empirical research, and you are comfortable with applications in different fields, such as engineering and health.
- You are strongly committed to evidence-based scientific reasoning. You can critically and carefully interpret statistical evidence, communicate uncertainty and limitations clearly, and distinguish well-supported scientific conclusions from claims that are not supported by the available evidence.
- You are open to modern approaches to teaching and learning and want to contribute to the further development of our statistics education and service teaching.
- You are a collegial team player with good communication and organisational skills and an excellent command of English. Proficiency in Dutch, or a willingness to learn Dutch quickly, is an advantage.
