Proje Açıklaması

Introduction

At the Department of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), we are looking for two lecturers to be responsible for the coordination of the thesis trajectory of students in the MSc in Strategic Entrepreneurship programme. As an RSM lecturer in this department, your main tasks are to evaluate the students’ progress and coordinate the related tasks.

Job description

Becoming one of our lecturers, you join a dynamic and international department of dedicated educators and academics who engage in high-quality research and teaching.

RSM’s MSc Strategic Entrepreneurship programme addresses core topics in the field of entrepreneurship, the startup lifecycle, and the startup ecosystem. Students work on opportunity recognition and validation, business model design, entrepreneurial finance and fundraising, venture growth and scaling, and corporate venturing and innovation. They learn how to combine academic theory with applied, evidence-based practice.

This programme culminates in a team-based master thesis trajectory. Here, you are part of a dedicated team of lecturers who guide and supervise the students as they conduct original empirical research on an entrepreneurial question, supported by clinic and plenary sessions.

Job requirements

Your job as lecturer is to manage the thesis trajectory of a designated group of student teams within RSM’s MSc Strategic Entrepreneurship programme. Your management of this team or teams includes training, teaching, providing feedback to students, and evaluating students on their deliverables, participation, and progress throughout the thesis trajectory.

Within these student teams, part of your responsibilities also include running recurring ‘clinic’ sessions. In these sessions, students present their work to you and their teammates in turn and they receive peer and lecturer feedback. Additionally, you schedule and prepare plenary sessions on themes such as thesis topic choice, conceptualising the theoretical framework, methods, data analysis and interpretation, and presenting and writing. You may also work on projects related to the teaching of innovation and educational research.

You work closely with the Academic Director (AD) and with other members of the department. RSM offers you the developmental support you need as a lecturer, including obtaining teaching qualifications, so that you can further develop into a senior lecturer.
