Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam is seeking a Research Intern for outbreak investigation within the ROST framework. This full-time student position offers an opportunity to dive into the heart of outbreak research by selecting one of the ROST themes, such as West Nile virus, mpox, or measles. The intern will actively participate in ongoing outbreak studies and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team comprising clinicians, researchers, and public health experts. Responsibilities include joining ROST meetings and joint activities, while contributing to clinical, diagnostic, and research facets like genomic detection, transmission studies, and diagnostics for vulnerable groups. This role provides valuable experience in public health research and teamwork within a leading medical center environment.

Als onderzoeksstagiair duik je in het hart van het uitbraakonderzoek. Je takenpakket bestaat uit:
Onderzoek je binnen 1 van de ROST-thema's, bijvoorbeeld West-Nijlvirus, mpox of mazelen.
Participeer je actief in lopend uitbraakonderzoek.
Werk je samen met een interdisciplinair team van clinici, onderzoekers en volksgezondheidsexperts.
Neem je deel aan overleggen en gezamenlijke activiteiten van ROST.
Draag je bij aan de klinische, diagnostische en research facetten van het onderzoek, zoals genomische detectie, transmissieonderzoek en diagnostiek bij kwetsbare groepen.
