Résumé de l'offre
The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Insertion Devices Group within the Center for Photon Science. This full-time position focuses on developing a variable-polarization undulator using superconducting REBCO tapes for the SwissFELplus project. The successful candidate will independently design and develop components, coordinate cryogenic testing, and analyze magnetic measurement data to improve undulator performance. Responsibilities include documenting work through technical reports and publications, as well as participating in project meetings. Applicants must hold a PhD in physics or electrical engineering with practical experience in REBCO tapes or superconducting magnets. Familiarity with magnetic measurements, cryogenic testing, or electromagnetic simulations is advantageous. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential, along with excellent English proficiency; German is an advantage. The contract is limited to two years. Applications, including a publication list and referee addresses, are due by November 30, 2026.
