Academic

Grade 7, £40,704 to £45,641 depending on experience

We are seeking to appoint 2 Lecturers in Accounting and Finance to join our collaborative and supportive academic team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, inclusive and applied teaching (across our undergraduate, postgraduate degree programmes) and research, innovation, knowledge exchange (RIKE) and/or professional engagement. We are particularly interested in staff who can teach in the following areas: Law; Forensic Accounting and Tax. We especially welcome applicants with a recognised professional body qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIPFA and CAS. We also welcome applicants from both academic and industry backgrounds who can ensure industry relevance. You will be passionate about maintaining our outstanding student experience while developing the next generation of professionals. Please note that we are also advertising for Academic Tutors at this time. If you are interested in applying for both roles please apply for both separately, (you can duplicate your application once you’ve completed one application and amend as appropriate to the role you are applying for). We offer a diverse range of benefits and opportunities to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment. The University currently enrols eligible academic staff into the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), a defined-benefit pension scheme. Further details on TPS can be found here. If you’re a member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) directly before joining us, you can choose to remain in USS instead. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from all candidates irrespective of age, pregnancy and maternity, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief, or marital or civil partnership status. The University may be able to sponsor the employment of international applicants in this role; this will depend on a number of factors specific to the individual applicant. You are advised to assess your eligibility against the criteria set out in the UKVI Guidance before applying. We welcome applications for job-share, part-time and flexible working arrangements. Accessibility We are committed to ensuring our materials are accessible to all. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement please contact us using our web accessibility report form. Your feedback helps us enhance our accessibility efforts and improve our services.
