Descrição do projeto
Your tasks
As part of the CORE collaborative project, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and its partners are developing key technologies for future fusion power plants. As part of these activities, the INR HELOKA test facility is used for the functional validation of various breeder blanket concepts, as well as for the qualification of specific materials and manufacturing technologies designed specifically for these components. HELOKA uses helium as a coolant at high temperatures and high pressures.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Defining, designing, and planning the measurement concept for experiments developed to qualify prototypes or validate numerical models/methods within the CORE project
- Coordinating the adaptation of the test facility to new experiments in order to achieve the test objectives with the desired accuracy
- Overseeing the control and power supply systems for the aforementioned systems, instrumenting the test objects, and collaborating on the planning, execution and evaluation of the experiments
- Planning, execution, and acceptance testing of projects to adapt the facility to new experiments
- Planning and implementation of safety-related shutdown circuits, including SIL-relevant documentation and selection of instrumentation
- Coordinating external electrical contractors and performing technical evaluations and acceptance testing of supplier control systems including programming, control cabinet design and instrumentation
- Performing maintenance and optimization tasks, such as the integration
of new components and their commissioning, while taking into account the interfaces with other systems for the HELOKA facility - Programming of data acquisition and plant control for the HELOKA plant using Siemens
PCS7, including testing, implementation and documentation - Programming and commissioning of PLC systems (SIEMENS PCS7), as well as the development and maintenance of SCADA/HMI applications
- Preparation of scientific and technical reports, as well as publications at the national and
international levels
Your profile
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or automation engineering
- Several years of professional experience in the fields of automation technology, data acquisition, control engineering and plant control based on Siemens PCS7
- Ideally, basic knowledge of networking, LabVIEW and National Instruments components
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
