Its buildings are distributed across Verona, including the Polo Zanotto and the Borgo Roma medical and scientific campus, with a further wine and viticulture site at San Floriano. The university teaches around 25,000 students in twelve departments covering medicine, surgery and dentistry, neurosciences and biomedicine, computer science, biotechnology, economics, law, business administration, education, and foreign languages and literature. Its research is best known in the medical and neurosciences, computer science and bioinformatics, biotechnology applied to viticulture and oenology, and in economics and management, the last supported by Verona's role as a centre of the wine, agri-food and trade-fair economy.
