Its main campus is in Acton, in the centre of Canberra. ANU is a member of the Group of Eight. Its research ranges across the physical and life sciences, engineering and computing, Asia-Pacific studies, public policy and the humanities; it runs Mount Stromlo and Siding Spring observatories and includes the John Curtin School of Medical Research.
