It is located in 's-Hertogenbosch, the regional capital of North Brabant, and in Venlo in Limburg, and it describes… HAS green academy, formerly HAS Hogeschool, is an independent university of applied sciences specialising in food, agriculture, horticulture, nature and the living environment. It is located in 's-Hertogenbosch, the regional capital of North Brabant, and in Venlo in Limburg, and it describes itself as the knowledge centre of the southern Netherlands for pupils, students and professionals in the agro, food and living-environment sectors. All its bachelor's programmes are accredited by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation. HAS offers bachelor's programmes and courses in fields such as applied biology, food technology and innovation, horticulture and arable farming, animal husbandry, environmental science, business in agri-food and geo-media and design, and it works as a full-service institution combining education, applied research and consultancy for companies and public organisations. Its research groups (lectoraten) address themes such as healthy soil, future food systems, plant and animal health, and the biobased and circular economy, in close cooperation with the agri-food sector of Brabant and Limburg. HAS green academy recruits lecturers and lecturer-researchers, researchers and professors of applied sciences, together with educational and support staff. Vacancies are published on its own site.
